The quorum of the 12 businessmen

A prominent mopologist blogger recently lamented that many faithful Mormons are starting to turn on the brethren. I can hardly blame them.

When you look at the photo, do you see 12 disciples of Christ? Or do you see a bland white classic American corporate board room meeting from the 1950’s?

The church hasn’t really been able to successfully hide that their religion functions most fundamentally as an investment corporation. With a smattering of religious facade here and there.

As the years go on it will seem increasingly comical that these men see themselves as “apostles” rather than just wealthy board members of one of the most powerful corporations on the planet.

I definitely believe these men are apostles and receive direct revelation from God on a daily basis. My belief has been confirmed after finding out that they prayerfully removed the annotation from a serial child predator's membership record, which gave him unfettered access to molest as many children as he wanted.

It may take the power of nations and governments to deal with the cult. The amount of money or filthy lucre it has amassed is sickening to the soul. The Church is a threat and with as much money it has at its disposal there is a real threat to all of us. There is a danger.

But, the Internet will destroy the Church. Have faith. We must flood the Internet with the truth. Drown out the voice of the Whore, which is Mormonism.

False prophets. Prophets who pretend they have been called to prophesy when really they are nothing but empty shells that pretend to be what they are not.

The leaders of the Church are disgusting men who are not to be trusted. They will lie, cheat, steal, and even kill if it comes down to it.

Why do I say that? Well, look at the history of the world and things that have happened on this planet. It is a scary thing. But, I'm not scared. Are you?

The children are nothing more than disposable pieces of fodder. They are flushable. Skin, bones, flesh. Let them rot.

The filthy lucre and all the benefits that come with being a top leader of the Church are the true desires of those men who take up bed in the great whoredoms of Mormonism. The leaders of the Church are evil.

Mormonism is whoredom. Always has been and always will be.

Said internet blogger seems to be using this fake outrage about people criticising the Apostles performance as an excuse to try and seek even more donations to throw at spin off material from the disastrous 6DIA film. Just how much of other people’s money has he spent already and on what?
For one thing, I’m very happy with the Quorum’s growing internationalization. Among its members are a German, a Brazilian, a Briton, and a Frenchman — at least two speakers of German (one native), two speakers of French (one native), two speakers of Portuguese (one native), and one speaker each of Japanese, Chinese, Spanish, and Swedish.
I mean, wow. If he is now “very happy” with the Q12 having 3 Europeans and 1 South American in it (the First Presidency is solid white American) he is de facto saying that he was not “very happy” previously when the Q12 was made up of fewer nationalities. Why? Why is the nationality of the Apostles a determining factor in whether or not Peterson is unhappy, happy, or very happy, with who has been selected?
The role of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles changed dramatically between its initial organization in 1835 and the assassination of Joseph Smith on 27 June 1844. And then, through the events that followed the martyrdom in the summer of 1844, the Quorum assumed leadership of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
He’s making the wrong comparison. The SLC LDS Church is supposedly a restoration of what existed when Jesus was on earth. So the key question is why aren’t the Apostles today operating the way the original Apostles operated?

But of course he doesn’t address these things, his only purpose was to use the 12 Apostles as a lead in to plug his need for more donations.
Premise 1. Eyewitness testimony is notoriously unreliable.
Premise 2. The best evidence for the Book of Mormon is eyewitness testimony.
Conclusion. Therefore, the best evidence for the Book of Mormon is notoriously unreliable.
