The one with the purses and the shoes was probably KimberlyAnn? She also had a lot of daughters.

She later married cksalmon.

I miss EAllusion. He and his partner were sick at the start of the pandemic. He never registered here so I always worried he didn't make it.
Was EAllusion the person who got deep into Biblical Studies and became Anglican or something like that?

He may have briefly reappeared when I was being dog-piled by a group of posters to agree that I was the most exasperating person ever and reveal that I was the reason he quit the board.

I was taken aback by that. Wow.

Or perhaps I misremember.
Eallusion was a non theist interested in science. He was a clear thinker and a major boon to this board. I cannot imagine he would say such a thing to you Kish. I vaguely remember the comment but not who made it.

No, he was always a skeptic / atheist, to my knowledge. Lived in Wisconsin near Milwaukee. He was always very guarded about his real identity, so I have no way of seeing whether he made it through the pandemic okay. His participation went back to the ZLMB days.

I hope he's out there living his best life.

I have to say, as the OP, that this thread has made me happy, especially seeing the people who are no longer regular posters here but have stopped by to comment. It's great to see your names and avatars once again gracing the pages of the board.

No.
Ah. Thanks. I thought I must be confused, and I was indeed.

If I recall correctly he was morally opposed to the position the church took on CA Prop 8, but still contributed financially because he felt that he could not disobey his stake president
I learned not to do anything a church leader says that I find morally repugnant.

Oh, by the way, it was Aristotle Smith who jumped back on to thank me for being a jerk and crushing his desire to post here.

I rarely come here and stopped commenting years ago. I couldn't login as my old account, hence the new one which I will promptly forget about.

I stopped posting/visiting here 100% because of Kishkumen's behavior. And imagine my complete lack of surprise to visit here on one of those rare occasions only to see him still doing it. This is what Kishkumen does. This is HIS place and he will take a dump wherever the hell he feels like. I have no idea why this place is so important to him, the number of his posts here is truly stunning, and he does play the contrarian with basically no rhyme or reason. I guess it makes him feel better.

But I would like to thank Kishy for being a jerk to me. You really have saved me a lot of time posting here. So THANK YOU for all of those hours of my life back. I probably would still be inordinately concerned about Mormonism if he acted better. However, he is living proof that anything attached to Mormonism, either for, against, or the bizarro contrarian sort-of-in-but-sort-of-out he seems to relish is just not worth it.

It has come to my attention that I can be a source of exasperation.
