True. But which direction are you suggesting that this was headed? E.g., did Interpreter "butter up" Redbrick with funding for Witnesses and 6DIA with the goal of ultimately being able to charge free airfare, lodging, Gatorade, and microwaved pizza?

He writes:
Maybe one day he’ll drop the facade and simply admit that he’s gained enormously from Mopologetics.
I guess this is a “joke,” but for whom is it a joke, and on ehat basis is it a “joke”? Is it supposed to be funny because, in fact, he *IS* charging tons of money to Redbrick by way of Interpreter? Is the hilarity supposed to stem from this idea of free travel being “corrupt”?I hadn’t yet learned in 1980 how to corruptly charge all of my travel and dining and lodging to the Interpreter Foundation

Have you noticed how often he deflects all criticism, reducing it to “they don’t like that I eat food!”
It’s his new Hitchens file schtick.

He has to misrepresent it. Because the criticism is not because he likes food. Nor is the criticism simply that he eats too much food (which he obviously does). The criticism stems from him overeating and maintaining a morbidly obese physique for many decades, whilst simultaneously publicly extolling the virtues of his religious faith’s health code, claiming to value it. It’s like a sex addict publicly extolling the virtues of celibacy. The criticism is about saying one thing but doing the opposite. Let’s see if Dan has the integrity to rely the actual criticism to his little readership.
Premise 1. Eyewitness testimony is notoriously unreliable.
Premise 2. The best evidence for the Book of Mormon is eyewitness testimony.
Conclusion. Therefore, the best evidence for the Book of Mormon is notoriously unreliable.
