Does anyone here know the timing of the Gog and Magog invasion of Israel?

I had to look that one up!Quantum1982 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 09, 2026 12:43 amDoes anyone here know the timing of the Gog and Magog invasion of Israel?
LDS thought consistently teaches two separate Gog/Magog events, one before and one after the Millennium.
Opinions vary in mainstream Christianity.
Timeline for restorationists: Restoration...Gathering...Tribulations...Second Coming...Millenium...Final Battle.
Ezekiel 38-39=before Christ's return.
Revelation 20=after the Millennium.
Hope this helps you understand things...basic outline... from an LDS perspective. YMMV.
You may want to keep in mind that most folks here think that all these prophecies are the meanderings of ancient visionaries with no real basis in fact. I would question why you are here asking these questions?
Motive?
You have probably noticed that I'm pretty much the only one that has taken you seriously in regard to your other posts. Should I be/have?

Premise 1. Eyewitness testimony is notoriously unreliable.
Premise 2. The best evidence for the Book of Mormon is eyewitness testimony.
Conclusion. Therefore, the best evidence for the Book of Mormon is notoriously unreliable.

The Gog and Magog invasion is a prophesied end-times battle, detailed in Ezekiel 38-39, where a coalition of nations led by "Gog" attacks a regathered, peaceful Israel. Motivated by spoils and hatred, this massive invading army is destroyed directly by God on the mountains of Israel, resulting in supernatural intervention and global recognition of God's sovereignty.

You have probably seen (my earlier post) that in some respects LDS belief matches your own, although with a few caveats.Quantum1982 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 09, 2026 7:10 pmThe Gog and Magog invasion is a prophesied end-times battle, detailed in Ezekiel 38-39, where a coalition of nations led by "Gog" attacks a regathered, peaceful Israel.
