Let's not forget these young women need to be prepared to enter polygamy just in case their future husbands take other women into the temple to be sealed to them should they croak early. Polygamy & Mormonism are alive and well, sort of.

Mormon temples are houses of polygamy wherein men may be eternally joined to multiple women for the purpose of having sex in the hereafter.

BONUS QUESTION: Which of Joe Smith's wives will be the first to have sex with him in the resurrection? Emma?

Girls, get in line! Joe's horny.

It is clear from the following list that, when the Church decided to remove the individual and distinct age group classifications for young women, it was a big mistake. And it’s taken 7 years to correct it.

1903-21
Junior (14-16)
Senior (17+)

1915-50
Bee-Hive Girls (12-16)
Gleaners (17-30)

1950-59
Bee-Hive Girls (12-13)
Mia Maids (14-15)
Junior Gleaners (16-18)
Gleaners (19-29)

1959-1972
Beehives (12-13)
Mia Maids (14-15)
Laurels (16-18)
Gleaners (19-29)

1972-2019
Beehives (12-13)
Mia Maids (14-15)
Laurels (16-18)

2019-26
Young Women

2026-present
Builders of Faith
Messengers of Hope
Gatherers of Light

It looks a lot like corporate branding to me. A new Young Women’s President is appointed and the first thing they do is rebrand. Bonnie Gordon was appointed in 2018, young women rebranded 2019. Emily Freeman appointed 2023 (admits the first things she did was look at the branding) young women rebranded 2026.

From 2019 Church News
The Young Women organization has a new theme and the class names of Beehive, Mia Maid and Laurel have been retired, Sister Bonnie H. Cordon announced in the women’s session of the 189th Semiannual General Conference.

Additionally, wards will organize young women based on specific needs and circumstances rather than three specific classes, she said. All classes will be referred to by the unifying name of “Young Women” and class presidencies should be a priority for adult leaders.

These announcements add to the organizational adjustments to strengthen Aaronic Priesthood quorums and Young Women classes introduced by President Russell M. Nelson and explained by Elder Quentin L. Cook in the Saturday afternoon session.

President Nelson said the adjustments are intended to help young men and young women develop their sacred personal potential.
Why did such an “inspired change” only last 7 years, before it was expunged in favour of the previous system? I’m guessing the numbers showed it had the opposite effect to the one Nelson claimed it would make.
Premise 1. Eyewitness testimony is notoriously unreliable.
Premise 2. The best evidence for the Book of Mormon is eyewitness testimony.
Conclusion. Therefore, the best evidence for the Book of Mormon is notoriously unreliable.

Saw comments on an article with the general YW's president apparently is already using the nicknames, builders, messengers, gatherers.
