Doesn't the "Goddamn" bother you?

"Da*m" doesn't bother me but yes, "G**" used as a profanity does. To be honest though, when I got to the first "F"bomb he dropped, I didn't read much else he wrote. I'm not sure just what is allowed in Terrestrial but I was pretty sure the F word was not, therefore that was what I commented on.
Well, you would have had to wade through the "Goddamn" to get to the first "F word". Just curious. Thanks.

Failure is not falling down but refusing to get up.

I have my many disagreements with Scratch, but I notice that he can make his points without the use of profanity.
In my opinion, profanity is the sign of an uneducated and immature mind. Its an easy punctuation that spices up a statement because the speaker is incapable of creative and well worded writing.
Maybe instead of carrying on a discussion with this person, you should just find a better discussion partner.

In my opinion, a cop out like this is the sign of an uneducated and immature mind. Its an easy out to avoid taking responsibility for your own damn interpretations of a creative and well-worded statement.
Gaz, go fornicate yourself with an iron-spiked stick.
I never use the f word and I dislike it intensely.
However, Bryan makes intelligent posts and anyone who decides to disregard everything he says simply because of a couple of f words because of their "sensitivities" is only doing themselves a disservice. The f word isn't going to go away in any of our lifetimes. Deal with it.

I still find f-bombs (I don't know why I like that term) jarring and distracting. But it seems like the rules are clear about what belongs in the terrestrial forum.
I guess I'm much more concerned with personal attacks than I am about profanity. I hope we can be more civil to each other. If nothing else, if we drive off the believers, there won't be much to talk about.
I have known Bryan for quite some time. He posted regulary on a different board and now has returned to that board also.
He has no respect for anything LDS nor does he believe in civility. And like the posters on that other board who tend to mock all things LDS even though most claim to be out of it in postmoland, well, bryan is just a part of that world who seem to glorify in insults to things LDS. And he will not change but what is unfortunate, is that he certainly is no example for a life outside the faith. To be true to oneself, one must also be true to others. And a part of that is to show respect for other beliefs, even if one hates the others' beliefs.
And yes, what this world needs now is more respect and respect is not earned but given as we all are a part of the human family. Thus, we respect our humanity. To disrepect such humanity disrepects all things human. For after all what is our humanity, if not to show respect of humanity itself´?

And yet, intelligent posts usually show intelligence. And by using words that one knows others will find offensive, usually shows a lack of intelligence. Don't you agree? Everything has its place.

You say you are just curious, but I have to wonder if you are suggesting I'm oversensitive to hearing the F word while I couldn't care less about someone taking God's name in vain? Contrary to what some may believe, I do live in the real word. I hear G** as a profanity all the time, It's used on a regular basis and seems nobody cares(except a few of us)--If I'd taken note of it, I would not have commented because I assumed it was allowed. And Dr. Shades has confirmed twice that my assumption was correct. He also confirmed through his recent comment that if I'd complained about the G**da** it would have been ignored because that is, as I assumed, allowed.
