The Dehlin one is a dead ringer for Tacitus.

Capax imperii nisi imperasset.

Bayes Theorem, FARMS Review, and Kwaku El are my other favorites.

I agree. Stak, you've got some competition.

That was brilliant, and sadly will disappear into the ether without JD reading it.

Maybe.

I dunno.

He does like to take baths and post pictures of his damned feet while scouring the intertubules for likes and mentions. So, who knows.

Mine are:

'Pragmatism: The love of philosophy for those seduced by their own.'

'Shaken Faith Syndrome: The slow realization that you’ve been dying this entire time.'

PARADIGM

I get a visceral reaction when I here that word in polite conversation. I immediately think of 7 Habits, Synergy, NLP, Psycho-Cybernetics, Dianetics, Essential Oils, Amway, and I know that I should check my back pocket to make sure that I still have my wallet, then run.

The only thing that saves the word for me is that it comes from Ancient Greek.

Stak,

Can you add one about MFB?
Alas, I wrote and posted these while in a certain state of altered consciousness. I noticed that I skipped over DCP too, so I think at the time I had my reasons for leaving him and MFB out.

NARRATIVE: Who exactly is narrating what? Does the media get together and conspire as to what the narrative should be?

DISRUPTIVE; DISRUPT, DISRUPTION: (Coined by LDS Harvard Prof. Clayton Christiansen) Who the hell cares about disruption.

F**K THIS SHEET: Ok, I get this phrase. Maybe it means something.
