Dude,

I re-registered on MAD again, I dunno, about a month ago? Even prior to that I made a vow not to get hung up in the board wars and for the most part, I've done that.

What I find totally obnoxious is the cross posting....that is to say, transferring a post from here to MAD and responding to it on MAD or vice versa. It really makes us all look insane.

Having said that, I do understand why folks are compelled to transfer posts from MAD to this board because they've been banned and in the majority of cases they were banned simply because they participate on THIS board.

While some of the posters here are unable to post on MAD, that is not the case for MAD posters posting on this board. So, why the insanity goes on, I have no idea. Sometimes it's fun to watch the dynamics and other days it's just an incredible waste of time.

Bond and WK, you are both off topic. Get back on topic, or start your own board war thread that The Dude can ignore in peace. Your derailing isn't going to work anymore. ~ mods

Does that constitute (in your mind) a board war? I'm assuming not all cross-posting constitutes war, so where will you draw the line? Or do you plan just to never comment on things said at MAD as though the place simply doesn't exist?

By the way, that's what I do, for the most part. Since I never go there, I can't comment on the things said over there (unless they're reposted here), and only ever comment on the personalities over there based on what I remember of them from my time there. Personally, I find that enough is said here for the place to be mostly self-contained.

I welcome you to be my conscience as long as you speak in the voice of Homer Simpson.

I think if posters here want to retain posting privileges on MAD, they'd better avoid the "board wars" threads (although it is an open question which threads fit under that definition)

Of course they're a waste of time - so are the vast majority of other threads people participate on here and on MAD.

If the MAD mods would let me post on MAD I wouldn't have to constantly take part in board wars. Oh course insulting Mama Bear in front of her own cave is a terrible crime, but what about turning the other cheek Juliann? Ready to unban my IP at least?

What? Then what angry anti-ex-countra-evil-angstridden-anti-Mormons would Juliann complain about? We give her life meaning, and damnit I'm too good a person to give that up. ;)

Let's find a new board and attack it!

Am I now banned from this thread?

Who's up for a board war against Blind Nuns who save Orphans from Rabid Kangaroos Discussion and Message Board? I'm betting we can kick their butt in a board war.

Let's see. Is there anything good on tv this summer? I haven't found it yet.

Oh, and my wife bought me "The Road" by Cormac McCarthy for fathers day (i have no idea why she would buy me an oprah's book club book but she did). Anyone else read it? because i guess I'm just not getting it - it SUCKS.
