I don't believe I've ever heard of this person. Someone mind giving me a brief bio?

Poland is an RM, ex-member, sometimes writes for CC's newsletter, and may be connected in some way to Betts's church (that last is thin conjecture). Other than those basics, I don't anything of him, either.
With regard to the OP, however, my question is, "Who cares?"
Best.

Evidently, no one (kidding... maybe). Sometimes I think that the mention of "Tanner" is akin within the LDS community to farting in an elevator.
I like to throw little jabs about the use of elipses as much as the next fellow, but at the same time I think the Tanners (RIP Mr. Tanner) did the LDS a great service. I'll take a Tannerism over a Deckerism any day (although Deckerisms are far easier to dismantle though).
(Damnit, KA had to go and quote me before I fixed my post... grrrrr...)

I sat near Sandra Tanner at the Exmo Conference dinner Saturday night and found her to be a polite, reserved and kind woman. Regrettably, I wasn't able to talk with her as much as I would have liked. Perhaps I'll be lucky enough to meet her again if I attend the Exmormon Conference next year.

Everyone I know who has met Sandra says she's a lovely and gracious person. I suspect that she earns so much animus because she does good research and has uncovered a lot of stuff the church would prefer to have buried. It's funny seeing the apologists act like she's the anti-Christ. In fact, I think someone did call her that today.
