Well, your rhetorical question made no sense to me. And what are you answering to? I asked a few things, or, at least I put more than one '?'.

I would see the butterfly effect here as a positive. Small steps toward reconciliation, understanding and tolerance can change the world for the better -- I would think?

I understood your post.

Apparently some find the way you express yourself a bit difficult to comprehend. I find it intriguing and rather novel -- it doesn't bother me. Don't change a thing. :)

I'm with Moniker and Shades on this. Pirate, don't ever change.

The church of the lamb and that great whore that the Bible talks about. I thought maybe Christians would fight non christians. And as Muslims are a large organisation, I thought maybe they would be involved in this somewhere. But if Mormons and Muslims come together, then what does that mean? Who is that great whore? and is there a true church of the lamb? or has that all gone? Maybe the BBC or media would be involved and not a literal war but more a war of power, a war of control and manipulation. Or maybe Revelations is not revealing the end at all, or the end is not as close as we think. Who knows?

Pirate.

Hi, Pirate. I'm not familiar with Revelations, yet, I would hope that there is no great whore. I can only see positives when religious communities join together for social causes. I think you may be on to something when you state "maybe Revelations is not revealing the end at all".

Thanks for posting this article.

According to the Bible there is a great whore, it is supposed to be the devild church, I think. I suppose it was possitive thet they came together, I just find it ironic. I was merely thinking aloud.

I suppose you are right. I was refering to my thoughts on signs of the end. Church believe the second coming is soon and my patriarchal blessing suggests I will still be alive. And with the second coming comes the end. I just thought as Muslims don't accept Christ and they are not christian that they might be this whore, but it was only a passing thought so please don't hang me.

Well, "Who is that great whore? And is there a true church of the lamb?" is rather a poetic phrase. I like it.

I really ought to change. I think I'm losing my marbles when people don't understand me. The only issue is that I can't. It seems physically impossible to change my whole demenor.

LOL. I had to change my personal statement as it was too poetic and flowery. You will find that in my blog. I have 6 different copies of it as I had to keep changing it. Cool you have my comment in your sig line. There is a few going around.

I understand. I was merely thinking aloud, as well. I don't look to the Bible for explanations of the world. Yet, I'm okay that you do. If I did look to the Bible to incorporate an understanding of the story you linked I would think of Jesus and how he would be pleased as this is only one small step that draws nearer to peace and love -- I can only imagine any charity that brings groups together to show commonalities, and reminders that humanity should not be divided into sects is something that Christians would embrace. Of course I'm just guessing here. ;)

This is a very interesting question. For years, the Church taught that "the great whore" was the Catholic Church, and the "the true Church of the Lamb" was the LDS Church. I remember this being taught in Sunday School and in seminary.

Now, the Church has backed off that stance, since it seems to be streamlining in with "mainstream" Christian churches.
