I never knew it was about sexual relations within marriage either, until I ran into the passage in Ferguson's Backgrounds of Early Christianity referenced as such. Even after re-reading it, I couldn't really see it until I looked it up in a couple of other translations.
There are times when the KJV translators choose some fun words though (that are easy to figure out what they're talking about). One of my favorites is Deuteronomy 25:11-12
When men strive together one with another, and the wife of the one draweth near for to deliver her husband out of the hand of him that smiteth him, and putteth forth her hand, and taketh him by the secrets: Then thou shalt cut off her hand, thine eye shall not pity her.
What is amazing is they evidently had the need to make such a provision. I guess there was a time when secret-grabbing was rampant.
