Do I hate Mormons? No. My neighbors are all Mormon. My family is Mormon. My wife is Mormon.

Thank God my father isn't, or any side of my family.

I have to deal with Mormons every day. Most of my employees are Mormons. I can go outside and shake a tree and have three Mormons fall out asking me if I have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Internet Mormons, OTOH, are arrogant assholes and they are easy to hate. Internet Mormons are different than Chapel Mormons.

I will always be a condescending, arrogant, tactless asshole when dealing with Internet Mormons.

Internet Mormons have the evidence right before their eyes and yet choose to stick with the Cult. Fine. But when you come in and start bitching at Ex-Mormons who you personally attack instead of looking at the real evidence at hand - well, you deserve what you get.

I don't give a good god damn what Internet Mormons think. I will have zero respect for their rights, their privacy, their doctrines, their so-called sacredness. I will attack them on every front, every side and every back as long as they continue to defend that criminal and pedophile - Joseph Smith and his so-called "One And Only Truth".

Of all the pro Mormon defenders who post on youtube who did LDS Inc showcase in this story?

Kerry Shirts or any of the MA&D/Fair/Farms ilk?

Any of the other more prolific mushy defenders?

Nope, the youtuber that they chose to showcase was a girl with only three vids and the one they screen grabbed was the one with zero substance where she labels all of those who disagree with Mormonism as haters!

And this one has such an eloquent response!

Its almost as if they simply did a search for Mormon defender and just pick the first one... What a joke!

Scottie wrote:Yes, because certainly someone that screams "F*** YOU!!" and gives their to a LDS security detail wouldn't be labeled a hater at all, right?

I didn't scream anything at the Cult rent a cop. I was at a stop light and he was giving me a smug look. So I flipped him off and mouthed "f**k you". That isn't hate. That's just a smug f**k you.

Oh and Scotty, you can't see me, but I'm flipping you off now, you smug Mormon.
ROTFLMAO!!!

A picture of your hand flipping off your screen with Scottie's profile in view would be goddamned hilarious!

They picked the cutest one. Better PR that way.

And you Nehor. And that's Intertubes, not Intratubes. I'm not in your network.

There were a couple of things I observed in the article. One was this paraphrase of Elder Ballard's talk:

Elder M. Russell Ballard, a senior leader in the Church, emphasized, in a recent speech given on the Brigham Young University-Hawaii campus, how important it is for members to join the ongoing online conversations concerning religion.

He has also noted that Church members should express their feelings and beliefs but that they of course should not present themselves as speaking officially for the Church.
(emphasis added)

Isn't Elder Ballard giving a mixed message here? I.e., "Go out and do the Church's work, but don't you dare insinuate that the Brethren had anything to do with it!"

Even more interesting, in the above picture (which B&L posted), we get this disclaimer:

Description

Screen shot of a video posted on YouTube by a young member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

© 2008 Intellectual Reserve, Inc. All rights reserved.
(bold added)

What??? Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't "Intellectual Reserve" the legal entity that exists to sue the crap out of anyone who utilizes the Church's image in any way contrary to the Brethren's wishes? (For example, the satiric T-shirts featuring coffee being poured into Moroni's trumpet.) It depends on what is being "copyrighted" here, of course, but doesn't this mean that, in effect, "Mormonsweetness"'s presentation is "owned" by the LDS Church? If so, then this provides yet another piece of evidence that the Church is demanding apologetics (no matter how innocuous and lame) from the membership.

Isn't this exactly what we are supposed to believe FARMS has been doing?

Great catch Scratch.

How can LDS Inc copyright a screen capture from a commercial website?

Should someone inform YouTube/Google ?

Maybe Daniel Peterson is about to get replaced by a teenage girl.
