If I was to venture a guess, I'd say the reason the church agrees to officially not proselyte among Arab countries has more than one layer to it. And I think they'd be pissed off at the guy who was bragging that he'd gone behind their backs and done it anyway.

But a few may be:

1. protection for the person being taught. Arabs aren't known for their tolerance of other religions, and they take a dim view of Muslims leaving Islam... and they tend to kill those who do. So those who teach Muslims are not only not helping further the Kingdom, they're condemning the poor convert to death.

2. Safety for the foolish missionary, should he be caught. Beheading isn't an ancient practice there, for people they think threaten them.

3. An international furor would occur if they beheaded an American who was proselyting instead of working at his real talk. It would really make the church leadership look bad.

4. All Muslims will be baptised during the millenium, so we don't need to convert them now. Same with the Chinese.

5. Daniel wouldn't be nearly as popular, if some idiot pissed off the Arabs.

#5 might be the most imporant, depending on your perspective.
(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.

What idiot would proselytize christianity in Saudi Arabia? He could've been featured in a short film on the Al-Jazeera network.

I know what I'm talking about on this.

HeHeHe...
I know, I know (consider me devil, wearing that green apron)
You have absolutely no guts/power to proselytize there as BC space aptly put it "unless your head handed to you".
I thought the Church of Christ would have little more power to overcome some freaky towelheads.
Am being obnoxious?
Really?
