Thank you for responding, DCP. To clarify, when you used the term "evidence", did you mean to include a spiritual witness, or do you mean that even without a spiritual witness, the evidence of the truth claims is superior to the evidence against them?

One of the problems mms is that the witnesses seem to be iron clad in support of the Book of Mormon story. This is a major problem for the critics. If the book was false and they were in on a fraud, it would be pretty darn near impossible to keep the secret for the length of time that they did. It would go against human nature.

Is this evidence? Perhaps. Then of course, we have Emma. She felt the plates under a cloth and saw the translation process. She would also have to be in on the fraud. And yet, even after polygamy, she did not shout fraud. Why? And then of course we have Sidney Rigdon, some critics claim he wrote the book and yet, even after Nancy was asked by Joseph Smith to be a plural wife Sidney never shouted fraud. Why? Is this evidence without a spiritual witness? Perhaps.

Thanks. I was tempted to do it myself but I was not sure if he or she was genuine with his or her questions. But it does seem so after this thread. I remember him or her from MAD and he or she seemed geniune. I thought that I would bring it up because you and LOaP might not respond to him or her here.
