I have nothing invested in Mormonism, why me. Four of my five children are Mormons by baptism, none believe or practise it. I have no Mormon friends that I'm even faintly close with, and the only time I discuss Mormonism is here. It's tough to disprove to yourself if you don't think straight. You can be strongly, emotionally, and irrationally swayed by it. I know that experience, even after leaving 22 years ago. It gets less and less relevant for me, and once the weight of evidence overwhelmingly against it (however long that takes to sink in, which could be years) becomes apparent to you (it isn't at the moment), you'll shake your head and wonder why you ever believed it, and even worse, why you defended it.

Granted, you're certainly one of the more polite apologists, and in that sense leave a favourable impression. But if by "attitude" you mean belief, no I don't need that, and indeed it would be impossible to regain any belief in it.
