I voted, "I don't know," because I don't and I do not think anyone does.

I do know. I know by exact experience which is solid proof. I fasted for an extended period in the late Ninties. Over three weeks at one point I became aware of the "OTHER SIDE". I basked in the radiating love of God that envolopes its intirety for three days. Eventually I had to choose to go or remain. After I chose to remain I was no longer aware of the Love Of God as I had been. I continued to fast for twenty more days. I was working full time all the while and only the blessing and power of God could have sustained life like that.

You got my living witness and that of all the scriptures to consider.

It's a great website. I've logged many hours in it.

Hi NL,

I do know. I know by exact experience which is solid proof. I fasted for an extended period in the late Ninties. Over three weeks at one point I became aware of the "OTHER SIDE". I basked in the radiating love of God that envolopes its intirety for three days. Eventually I had to choose to go or remain. I know quite a few people who have had an "exact experience" they veliee is solid proof.

The problem is, the thousands/millions of people who have "solid proof" don't seem to experience the same thing. I've spent some time reading accounts of what will come next and virtually a hundred percent of people have an experience that supports (or results) from their personal belief system.

Hindus just don't wish they knew the various LDS tokens and handshakes, Mormons don't typically find Mother Mary waiting for them, Scientologists don't get judged by Allah; JW don't see Vishnu and Catholics don't get carried away by some alien space craft.

I have the sense people "experience" what they hope for.

Having said this, as a therapist and hypnotherapist, I have facilitated past life regressions and have seen some truly amazing results from the experience.

Hi TD,
What are your thoughts on past life regression? Are there certain characteristics that each of them share?

I was relating a conscienceness of another dimension that endured for three days. It was not an episode. I saw nothing. I did not encounter anyone. It was just a warmth and love that radiated and filled all things. I might have been near death and felt the rays of the otherside breaking through. It was not LDS anything. No tags at all.

At the end I was sitting in my mini van when all the strength that kept me robust and able to work all day drained out of my body and I sat there in the driver's seat about to die. The question came into my mind if I wanted to go. I determined that I did not want to die and immediately like all the buttons and switches were turned back on and full power restored I was no longer conscience of the Love of God as an in all things and through all things dimension of reality.

Unless everyone else you want to toss me into the pool with has had something close to what I experienced I do not think you can simply write off this witness as same ol. The knowledge gained from my fast was to know that God is able to keep me alive by his matchless power and that the Love of God is behind our world as well as all eternity.

It also equipt me with enough power to accomplish in real life what needed to be done and that was marvelous too.
