The current name in use by the salt lake city bunch is not the name Jesus revealed in Doctrine and Covenants. Joseph Smith didn't get it right from the beginning and after about 8 years Jesus told him the name to use and now the numnuts in slc have changed that as well. They know the Mormon church is not right.

I attended a taping of Heart of the Matter when I visited Utah last March. Beforehand, our group got to spend a little time with Shawn McCraney. I sat with him for dinner and spoke with him for much of the suburban ride to and from dinner. I was surprised at how thoughtful and perceptive he was, and surprised to find that we agree with each other on some odd points of contention. We're both soteriological inclusivists and we have a very similar outlook on the "Can a Mormon who remains Mormon be saved?" question.
His show is totally not something I would ever do. His style is a little too confrontational for my taste and I found all the talk of Mormon deception and whatnot rather grating. I get that some of it is showmanship, but I found myself wincing just the same.
Then again, he's very good at what he does and seems to have some success among his viewers, so I don't mind that he's there.
Overall though, I loved getting to meet him. I hope I find an excuse to come to his show again when I'm in Utah later this year. He was fun.

In other words, you don't mind that he's intellectually dishonest.

Oh jeez, that idiot that's on the community access channel? LOL! Only someone like you, TMB, would think his inane blathering is any sort of "deterrant." And, by the way, there is no such thing as "the Mormon Church."
There's no such thing as a poster here with the moniker "Simon Belmont" either since that is not your proper name. Get over it, Simon. Those who run the church to which you profess membership do not have the same hang up about "Mormon Church" or its members being referred to as "Mormons" that you do:
