Your temple recommend is not gone. I think that you still have it and want to have it. Amazing. Truly amazing for a Mormon with such a belief system.
At least she attends. Why get on her when you have your own peculiar take on the church that most members would not consider to be good enough to get into the celestial kingdom?

I heard 18% just recently, but I'm not sure if that's accurate.
The Church is haemorrhaging members aged between 18 and 30 and us now juggling wards around to try and keep them.
Danged kids won't get married.
Currently my daughter is dating a non-member. LDS men aren't interested in getting married.
If you believe it is forever and god will not be happy with you if you end it via divorce/sealing cancellation, a prudent person would take his or her time in carefully evaluating a prospect over a much longer time frame than the Brethren's suggestion to just find someone compatible and get it over with. I applaud the LDS youth of today if they are taking more caution in this eternity-long decision.

Mormonism, R.I.P.
Shades, don't forget to shut off the lights when your done this evening.
And yet, the LDS church is marching on. Why? Because in a world of craziness and insecurity it provides comfort and joy in how to actually do life. If one follows the moral code of the LDS church one can not go wrong.
Just like Scientology.

Can you point to what in that code is unique to the church?

Yes, it's free everywhere except the Mormon Church, where it costs 10%...
'Church pictures are not always accurate' (The Nehor May 4th 2011)
Morality is doing what is right, regardless of what you are told. Religion is doing what you are told, regardless of what is right.

Actually other churches have there way of collecting money from members, and many are similar to the LDS. I see whyme cannot provide anything unique. Not really a surprise.
