What a remarkable display of bigotry on your part, jskains, that you would ridicule and attack these people's sacred beliefs. Shame on you.
Give it a rest Scratch. It's just old now... It's not even witty or funny.

Well JoeSmith CAINz, interesting you come on a forum and complain about folks with real information on your religion being the result of a conman while you make fun of someone who seems to be a sincer believer of his own.
You must be hurting for attention these days.

I'm not very sure what is sarcasm in this thread and what is genuine disagreement.
But you all may rest easy. The rapture has not occurred. One might use the fact that Ceeboo (our resident gentle spirit and all around great guy) is still here as evidence, but... well....you know he's Catholic right? So that's a non-starter. No, take comfort that Hoops is still here. Hoops is a believing SBC, complete with the barbecue fashioned from an old metal drum in the backyard, the "praise Jesus and the Cowboys" bumper sticker, and the yellow Pinto with three tires parked in the driveway.
No, take comfort my friends. If Hoops the Southern Baptist didn't make it, then it didn't happen.
Dr Scratch, PhD has a really great point. I'm getting a little tired of all the jokes TBMs are shooting off about this. I've heard 4 snide remarks on Facebook and one in person just this morning as I was weeding my garden. It was the bishop of our ward.
My wife was publicly ridiculed on Facebook for criticizing a comment made in GC about how paying tithing will help prevent divorce. I think I offended some TBMs by posting an article on how coffee helps prevent prostate cancer.
I think it is distasteful to make fun of these believers, particularly if you happen to be an apocalypse believer yourself.

I just posted a question on Facebook. Why make fun when our own religions include apocalyptic prophesies?
