So as of this post we have ten people who are against the idea of posting obscene stuff about Juliann, and nobody who says they dislike her and think obscenity is OK.

That is about as expected. Any more?

The three slightly mysterious 'others' are presumably of the mind of Spurven Ten Sing, the only one who has expressed an opinion so far as I can see: they don't care about Juliann one way or another, but don't think obscenity is a big deal either.

I'll go on record as writing some of those. Hopefully without coming across as arrogant, they are ones people are no doubt describing as PG and funny. I'm "Massimo Introvigne has a posse," "Tickets to the Book of Mormon musical in Banhattan" and the like. I was hoping to drown out the ones I saw as, to be blunt, stupid and asinine. As I told someone else, I don't see a problem with poking fun at Juliann's harsh moderating with those memes unless she is really sensitive about her physical appearance. That's appropriate satire. But after I offered a few the unfocused hatred and juvenile behavior kept coming.

I condemn the obscene and genuinely meanspirited ones. In particular, mocking her for being abused is one of the worst things I've seen either side of the non-LDS/LDS divide from these boards. It's wrong. She's a real person, and it is not Ok to treat people like that. There are a few posters here who need to think long and hard about who they want to be as people and resolve to be better than that.

Actually, the non-obscene posts are doing pretty well, and there are currently no signs of the other kind. Keep them coming guys!

(Will anyone on the MADboard recognize the efforts of 99% of posters here to treat this not very nice person with the minimal respect due to her humanity? No. All non-mo righteousness is as filthy rags in their eyes.)

Agreed.

I've seen these memes linked to on other ex-mormon boards as well. I don't see any reason to assume that the obscene ones came from someone in this community.

I just hope the people on the other board look at this poll, and get some perspective. Additionally, I hope they the take note that none of this craziness wouldn't have happened if Mr. Devilish Rogue and Mr. Joseph weren't idiots.

Look who's mr. innocent! If you weren't responsible for some of those objectionable memes, good for you, but maybe you could use this as an opportunity to ratchet down on your general vulgarity in the future, please?
