Personally, I'm looking for a way to outdo all the other posters who have tried to show the MAD people how reasonable and humorless they are. Signing a pledge or making unfunny memes that apologize doesn't seem like enough. Maybe I'll go suicide bomb whatever building memegenerator.net is run out of, so that there is no doubt about how decent and reasonable I am. Cheers.

Now who's being dramatic? LOL.

Eric, some of us do things because they're the right things to do, not because we have something to prove. You should try it sometime.

Noted BC.

I will stand by my position that the general impetus of the forum seems to be directed at cutting the legs out from under faith in Christ, God, etc. in my opinion, the majority of posters here seem to want healing from their past belief in God rather seek healing through belief in God.

If my statement sounded harsh, there isn't much I can do about that. You and others may see the forum here as "sick bay" of sorts.

I do wish you and they success in your endeavors here.

This forum isn't about God. It's about Mormonism. Please don't confuse the two again.

We deal with "harsh" here. We don't ban for "harsh".

Maybe more like MASH... At least you didn't say cess pool.

Right.

Greetings Mudcat. This board is whatever the posters make of it. If 1000 Catholics flocked here to discuss religion then Shades would probably be thrilled, and a bit puzzled. If 1000 Evangelicals flocked here and used it to discuss the Bible I'm sure Shades would be thrilled, and a bit puzzled. If 1000 faithful Mormons flocked here to promote Mormonism Shades would be thrilled and a bit less puzzled (because it is Mormon Discussions). Shades has simply provided the forum. But the one thing that won't be provided is shelter and protection for anyone's opinion. People's views will be challenged here, perhaps in very stark terms. Freedom of speech is a real pain sometimes.

*Caveat: The Celestial forum will at least provide a forum where the opposition's language is tempered.

[Yeah the board was set up in reaction to bannings from MAD, but who knows what tomorrows brings.]
Whatever appears to be against the Book of Mormon is going to be overturned at some time in the future. So we can be pretty open minded.-charity 3/7/07
