Bill Hamblin purging Mike Reed's posts that try to engage Hamblin in discussing his OP.

This is a pretty lame Board War, if you ask me. But I hope it picks up soon.

Only things posted from now on, or are they going to review past posts too?
And only scandalous things posted by critics? (I guess I know the answer to that one.)

I think they are looking for things libelous rather than scandalous. I should have used libelous where I wrote scandalous.

No, he just said his father shot himself and the first thing he did was post here. Most people did not believe him.

That was Pa Pa - he tried to post as his own son, claiming that he (Pa Pa) had killed himself over this board.

that's pretty messed up but at the same time he deserves some sort of respect for going to such great lengths. Someone send him an invitation to this board for entertainment purposes.

The board war's a dud? Are you kdding me? This board war in particular ranks right up there with some of the bloodiest battles of the Civil war. I've done nothing but sat here, eyes glued to the screen eating popcorn.

Oh wait, its only people on this board who are contributing, as was the case before. The posters over there seem to be doing nothing but ignoring this place, again. Dangit...it appears Nemesis' board war hope only rang in the ears of posters at MD. No one over there seems interested enough to saunter over here and dig through the threads to find something worth quoting over there. But the opposite is true...plenty over here seem to spend quite a good amount of time over there finding comments to complain about/laugh about/become irate over.

The only way to successfully conduct a board war with them is to infiltrate their ranks with folks from here pretending to be stalwart LDS defenders and then trying to make a fuss.

Didn't this happen here, on this board? Pa Pa was a member here. If I recall correctly he asked for his account to be deleted, but I don't think that Shades deletes accounts.

So what you are telling me is that most everyone over there has more sense than the lunatic they have made their moderator. That's certainly a big relief. But, I can't exactly agree with you that his various threatening posts, his fabrications, whining, and the creation of the "Neighborhood Watch" constitute the "nothing" you seem to imply.

Yes, the folks over there are way too busy deleting posts, shutting down threads, fretting over how to say something so it won't get yanked, banning people, etc. Maybe our freedom gives us too much time to laugh at their expense.

And imagine, SGW garnered more attention by just having his lawyer send a letter to the board host.

What do you wish me to say, Kishkumen? Nothing from their end has happened, aside from Nemesis' affronts. No one else over there seems interested. I'd wager someone over there has some amount of interest. I'd wager some would probably love to throw some lobs, but so far...nothing.

I know I saw the neighborhood watch comment by Nemesis, but did he/she really set anything up? I see no signs of it? Do you?

One guy over there is acting like a pill to some other guy that comes running over here and that constitutes reason to provide a generalized sarcastic rant against them all? Sounds a little Nemesis-like Kishkumen. Let's get over it already.

I meant to strongly imply it, yes. But, to warn you all I've been prone to suffer from the Stockholm syndrome in the past.

As I said, stem, I think it's great that the vast majority of MDD folk have taken little interest in Nemesis' meltdown. Now what they really should try is adjusting the moderator roster to exclude someone who pulls that kind of crap. Nemesis did set up a "forum" dedicated to collecting quotations and complaints about this board.

Observe this.

Fair enough. I think, however, that the practices of the board have led to a lot of bad feelings between people here and people there. It is not just about one guy acting like a pill and another overreacting. It certainly isn't just about this, as the many allusions to Schryvergate and other historical tensions clearly indicate.

Not sure I like the sound of that, stem.
