If Mr. Deity has taught me anything, it's that god is in an "on again-off again" relationship with Satan (a hot, MILF-looking woman).
God belief is for people who don't want to live life on the universe's terms.

I went on a walk into a beautiful forest today and took the time to say a prayer. It has been a little while since I tried this formally. I stepped off the trail to spend some time thinking and looking around me. I prayed to her sincerely. I know it might seem odd that I did this but I can't get myself to pray to the God I grew up with for many reasons.

Honestly, I'm not sure if God is really there. I have no idea. I came into my prayer with that in mind. I didn't try to force a belief. I started my prayer thinking of how all the amazing things around me have such an enormous history. I let that stir in my mind as a possibility that she is there - somewhere. Then I asked her if she is really there. Once again, I felt something I can't deny. I felt an understanding. Every bit of the fear I had growing up was gone. That God who did those evil things we read about is gone. It was just me and this idea that gave me peace. I know, it is just an idea. But it affected me. I'm still willing to say there is a chance it's confirmation bias and I told her that. She understood and smiled at me.

Then I asked her what was really on my mind. I said, "I know this might seem trivial to you. You have so many things to worry about. But it means a lot to me. Are you married to Heavenly Father?"

She said no.

That is all I can say. To me, it's as simple as that.

I find this ost terribly interesting. Particularly the ____ portion

Stem,

I'm a little surprised that you're asking me this. Perhaps you look at my scenario differently than a person who wants to know if the Book of Mormon is true?
Oh for shame, how the mortals put the blame on us gods, for they say evils come from us, but it is they, rather, who by their own recklessness win sorrow beyond what is given... Zeus (1178 BC)

The Holy Sacrament.

Sure I do. You say "she said no". Did you hear the word or did you feel it or something else?

While some may have heard words when some prays about the Book of Mormon, some do not. Answers may come in different forms for different folks. I woudln't know too much about this though.
