How much pressure is there overall for this? With Catholics, Orthodox, Southern Baptist and other various denominations refusing to ordain women you have a lot of people sticking to the no women rule. I don't see the LDS changing as long as there are so many others refusing ordination to women.

That's why I think they won't do it until after they cave to treating homosexuals like fellow humans. Once they've done that, might as well ditch the misogyny too.

On the plus side, you can pray in Sacrament Meeting even though you can't be the final speaker...
I think this falls under Packer's "unwritten order of things" that some bishops ignore. Although men are typically scheduled last, I remember a time when the man got up to speak first (even thought he was scheduled to speak last) and explained that their talks would flow together better if his wife speaks last. Nobody thought twice about it. Maybe they were counseled after church about the unwritten order of things, LOL.

Women don't need the priesthood because they are already more spiritual than men, and they have the most important calling of all - motherhood. Men need the priesthood to help them be more spiritual.

Seeking a womans time so she may say "oh god! oh god! oh god!" ::wink wink:: doesn't count as prophecy. LOL (Sorry if this comes off as a personal attack, i mean this in jest/joke only)

Hahahahaha. I was going to bring that up...you beat me to it.
I recall once in Elders Quorum this topic coming up and the comment was made that it was amazing that the women in the church bought into, and actually bore testimony at times, of that crap. That was followed by medium laughter (on the Low to Loud laughter meter) by the Quorum members.

I appreciate the list. I think it would be great to have all of it. However, most of those items open a can of worms.
Let's first tackle the personal interview thing. Many Mormon men have egos that would not stand for a woman interviewing them. They would die before allowing such a "disgrace" to their manhood. This includes men at the top. But maybe the younger generation could handle it?
Next, ward clerk. Often times, these guys spend hours working 1 on 1 with another guy in a small room after hours. Could the church change things to prevent a man and woman from touching each other "inappropriately" or prevent the guy from viewing this new ward clerk as walking porn? I'm joking but you know the church would not allow such liberties between the sexes. They would have to start trusting them somehow...
Next, SP counselor: do you really think the church would allow a woman to spend 15 hours per week with two or three other men administering over the stake? This usually takes place after hours in closed rooms.
I could go down the list but you see my point.
The church is VERY careful to never have men and women pairs in seclusion, except in the case of bishop/SP interviews.
