Psalm 56:11

"In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do to me."
We shall not cease from exploration
and the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we started
and know the place for the first time.

Proverbs 23:27 For a whore is a deep ditch; and a strange woman is a narrow pit.

Or is this not a joking thread? There are no smilies.

To be serious:

There are many verses I used/cited in nonreligious teaching. There are many of them I like.

Unfortunately, there are too many I don't like. And too many about I don't like the fact that they can be part of a sacred scripture.

My favourite was D&C 128:18-22, when I was a believer. While I still love the inspirational nature of the words, I no longer adhere to parts of it's content.

Fun!

My all time favorite:

Matthew 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

Another fav:

1 John 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

Mostly I love the "God is love" part.

I think this one if pretty spot on:
Mosiah 2:17 And behold, I tell you these things that ye may learn wisdom; that ye may learn that when ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God.

Here is a funny one....just think of a late night activity you may have engaged in as a teenager.

Zechariah 5:1 Then I turned, and lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and behold a flying roll.
