You mean some, just as some so called apologist behave just as bad or worse around here, but I notice you didn't bring that up.
Why would anyone want to be the way they are?
It's just the way some people are, which is why we see the behavior from some on both sides. You see more former believers behave this way here in greater numbers simply because apologists are in smaller numbers. You might try and see just how bad former and especially questioning members get treated over at their site.
When I was treated crappy and judged wrongly, I decided to search more on the internet and I found FAIR and their discussion board. I liked it. True, the postmos predicted that I would be banned the first week but they were wrong.
Most are more then a little sceptical of this since it was in response LDSToronto saying that about apologists, not to mention many other things you say that are just not realistic.
Exmos and postmos who post on the internet are by and large extremely judgemental when I inform them of my inactivity in the LDS church.
Again a small number.
In fact, they hate that I am inactive and defend the LDS church. And I can assure you that many of these critics would have found me wanting as a member if they were in my ward. The apple does not fall far from the tree.
The funny thing is that if you go to the apologetic site many there hate people who are critics, and seem even to hate the questioners even more.
Fortunately I know many Mormons who were/are not like them as members. They are kind, understanding and considerate of my inactivity and attendance in the catholic church. No problem
Many are just like them, but since you defend the church they are nice to you, just as some here will be mean for the same reason. It's really not that hard to figure out.
