I vote that John is the clean shaven one. It just makes the most logical sense.

Kind of, it would help blend in with most of society now but the long flowing hair isn't working for him.

Good old Peter was apparently a viking in another life. Look at those Northern European features.

Well, it's obvious isn't it? He was a viking raider who decided to settle down, migrated south, and used his boat for fishing.

Maybe he was making a net made of sewn oats. That would explain why he needed divine help to catch fish.
