So will Mormons be able to marry in the next life

Yes. As the reticence of Jesus teaches, it's not till the resurrection that it's too late to marry.

So...I kind of think that means that being sealed together can also happen in the next life too?

It's MotherS.

God is a big-time polygamist. In fact, He probably has the most women in his pride then any other God imagined; just ask Brigham Young.

No, HF stepped over the line one too many times. Heavenly Mother left him years ago.

How did he cross the line, you ask? I'm guessing it had something to do with marrying other resurrected women behind her back.

I'm sad to know that so many of God's children only hear a male voice when they pray.

It's reflected in Hollywood propaganda, the public schools, and you even see it in Obama's 'former' church where they are getting rid of the notion of a Heavenly Father.

Might as well plug up all holes when someone is born and treat them as if male and female did not exist.

If equality is a threat to your religious values, it's time to think about finding some better religious values.

Indeed.

Long is El's penis like Sea's.
El's penis is like that of Flood...
El bends his bowstave,
He draws his mighty shaft...
El seduces his wives,
Lo, the two women cry:
O husband! husband! streched is your bowstave,
Drawn is your mighty shaft...
The women are (now) El's wives...
The two travail and give birth...

The woman has the idea that if God were to reveal more detailed information about Mother(s) in Heaven, depending on the nature of the information, it could serve as a justification for opening up more leadership opportunities for women in the church.

This is a pipe dream, but she has so much faith that she can't see that.

Why is this a pipe dream? Because the only man in the church who dared to innovate and reveal new, innovative things to the church died almost 170 years ago. Joseph Smith had ideas, or appropriated ideas from other sources, and had the cojones to look the church in the eye and tell them his ideas, and claim they'd been revealed to him. It's my view that not a single one of his followers since then has even come close to doing that.

What about Bruce R. McConkie, JFS, and perhaps others like Parley P. Pratt, one might ask? They aren't even in the same league as Joseph Smith for innovation. Joseph said crap that he pulled right out of thin air, and justified with nothing more than an assertion of revelation. BRM, JFS, PPP, and all the others extrapolated somewhat from things written in the scriptures. Without some kind of scriptural basis, these guys could say nothing. There's really nothing in the scriptures about a Heavenly Mother that could be used as the basis for such an extrapolation.

The LDS church leaders really can only put out new doctrinal information about a Mother in Heaven if God reveals it directly to the Prophet, and he hasn't done this, and won't, because he doesn't really exist. It's a good thing the 12 + FP aren't holding their breaths waiting for further light and knowledge on this subject.

Anyhow, the member who wrote the article holds onto the hope that such further light and knowledge will someday be revealed about a Mother in Heaven. It will never happen though.

Whatever change in the status of women in the church that is achieved in the next few decades will have to come on the basis of some theory or whatever that can be based in the scriptures, which they can extrapolate from. I'd be interested to know if anyone has come up with some ideas on what kind of scriptural theory might work. I can't think of any.
Mormonism ceased being a compelling topic for me when I finally came to terms with its transformation from a personality cult into a combination of a real estate company, a SuperPac, and Westboro Baptist Church. - Kishkumen
