Man up. You're weak.

You don't use sarcastic self-effacement effectively. Study DCP.

My response to the survey could be summed up as follows:

Probability of my reading posts by Kevin > 80%

Probability of my reading posts by Droopy < 25%

New information of interest to me in Kevin's posts: Moderate to High

New information of interest to me in Droopy's posts: Low to nonexistent.

Accuracy and reliability of information in Kevin's posts (that I have read): Generally very high.

Accuracy and reliability of information in Droopy's posts (that I have read): much faith required.

I forgive you your unkind words.

Any others?

DCP was certainly very skilled at sarcastic self-effacement. Since he could seldom muster an effective response on substantive issues, and was therefore forced to obfuscate, delay, or dodge much of the time, it was the only way he could survive in his role of world famous apologist on this board for as long as he did.

I have never come across a critic who was as good at this as DCP. This is really no surprise, however, considering that critics usually have the evidence on their side and therefore are not forced rely on this tactical retreat maneuver for survival.

It's too bad that most of Kevin's posts seem to center around his critique of individuals and his own superiority over them.

Depends. If he's discussing the Book of Abraham, his posts are informative. Even when they're about Will.
(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.

Early on this board when I had no experience with Red I told him his KEP posts were informative but confusing because ofnhis personal asides. That was all she wrote for me and I was the object of personal attack thereafter.

Although you have clearly learned from DCP about the ad hominem attack as a first response when you have nothing of substance to say, you apparently did not pick up his near-perfect spelling and habit of fixing typos before posting.

You should learn that the ad hominem attack is not an effective response and reflects poorly on the attacker, especially when it isn't even worded or spelled correctly.

(It has been a long, long time since I told a fin about my doctorate degree. In fact, I can't recall ever doing so.)
