What a great, heart-warming story! Thank you both for sharing this. Ceeboo and Blixa, a very, very happy Christmas to you both.

Blixa and I don't agree on everything, but I'd never shun a word she writes. I think "this place" does have a lot of potential, and Blixa is one of the posters who makes it so. Letting on to my little secret, there are some posts I'd never miss, and Blixa and beastie are among my top posters.

Ray has good taste.

You are a fine individual, Ceeboo. Clearly, all the rumors about you are untrue, so I'm not going to start them any more.

Dear MDB members,
A kind member of this community (via PM) has just called my attention to this thread. (I greatly appreciate that being done for me as well as the integrity of this OP)
It seems that the OP has went way over my head (I assumed that it was written as Christmas humor and my above post was an attempt to return a smile). Clearly, knowing what I know now, I failed miserably.
In short, I sincerely apologize for my error (poor judgement) to the entire MDB community and I offer a HUGE "I am sorry" to both Blixa and whoever this enormously kind and gentle soul was who did this for their fellow human being.
With this new knowledge, I find this OP to be an awesome display of a pure Christmas spirit, and a splendid example to us all.
Again, I am deeply sorry that I have entirely missed on this OP (I own it)
Peace,
Ceeboo

Like I didn't know that already, Ceebs.

Edited to add: This may have come across as too tart, so let me amend it to say that I figured you were joshing at the get-go, Ceeboo. But then everybody started saying what a good bloke you were, and I thought maybe I was being too cynical, and that you had actually tracked Blixa down (or knew her in real life) and had dropped by a thoughtful Christmas gift.
Unfortunately, my cynical side was right again. ;^)

It's no biggie, man.
I didn't give Blixa the present, either.
But if I knew where she lived, there's no telling what might show up under her Christmas tree.

How wonderful, Blixa! You have clearly been very good this year!
You may soon find a certain teenager under your tree. She's begging to go to New York for Christmas. She wants either NYC or a clunky pair of Doc Martens which would look awful on her, I think, but are much more affordable.

I'm glad your Christmas is shaping up so well!

That's just great, Blixa. I've been overwhelmed at times by the kindness of people I've met here and elsewhere. I wish I could say I was involved, but my budget is way too tight for that this year. But Merry Christmas, anyway!
