What happened to the separation of church and state?

Equal treatment under the law is a constitutional requirement. If churches wish to work with government they must also, as agents of the government, abide by the constitution. What's the problem.

Taxes can help pay for charitable efforts. In the case of taxing the LDS church, we'd get a lot more people the help they need. :)
