I think the point here is that we're not supposed to be "commanded in all things", (D & C 58: 6.) Figure it out for yourself. Don't bug the G.A.'s for your every consideration. God has created us to be agents unto ourselves and work out our own salvations. (Phil. 2: 12.) If they had to respond to every bit of minutiae that modern life and technology brings up, we'd have no time for the truly important and saving messages of the gospel of Jesus Christ. We'd be like the Jews of ancient Israel, and I respect and love the Jews, but they do have this hair-splitting, nit-picking tendency, which 2,000 years ago caused them to persecute and miss the Messiah when He was right in their midst. Let's not make the same mistakes.

If the solution contained nicotine, I would certainly deny baptism or TR, even though nicotine is not specifically mentioned. Otherwise, I would question and research and perhaps all would be fine.


Would you deny baptism to somebody who drank Redbull daily?
