That's fine, but this is about political ideology not religion. If plural marriage is contrary to traditional conservative family values, then it has to go in the liberal column.

I'd argue that plural marriage, given its misogynistic nature, doesn't conform to liberal values. It IS conservative, but not American conservative.

I just wanted to make sure I wasn't misunderstood. I was sort of joking here in two ways. Consider how my friends and family would react to me saying, Joseph Smith was more Democrat-ish for his family values.
I get this from A. assuming we agree that Joseph was a real family values guy and B. Obama has such a beautiful family (seriously) and is a family values guy AND a democrat to boot.
