Oh, yeah, and during the encore too. I go general admission (GA), cuz I like the mosh. I was two people from the head of phallus stage protrusion into the audience. For the encore, Tommy Lee descended from the ceiling, right in front of me, playing a glittery piano, the opening of Home Sweet Home.

Gotta say, though, Dr Feelgood, Smokin' in the Boys Room, and Girls, Girls, Girls were my favorites. With the Crue, I'm just a 'tourist', not a dyed in the wool fan. (Hey, when I was in high school, Smokin' in the Boys Room was a hit on the radio, by Brownsville Station. Nice to hear it, particularly more rocked out.)

by the way, does anyone know why almost everyone says the name of the city as if it were "Los Vegas", not "Las Vegas"?

I live in "Las" Angeles (that is how most non hispanics pronounce it here) and I think most people say Las Vegas.

I don't think that I have ever head anyone say Las Vegas - even the couple of people I know who live there.

Of course, I overgeneralised from my experience (;=(, and assumed that it was the experience of "almost everyone".

So religion, hawking 'truth', is held to no higher standard than those other institutions?

Certainly it is. But religion and church is not Christianity. Religions and churches are full of flawed people. Yes, one should expect the folks in the pews behave better, but one should also not be surprised when they don't. Essentailly, it's excuse making. Just why would you judge God by people? That's never made sense to me.

It's not the folks in the pews that I feel were doing the lying nearly as much as the folks at the lectern. Why would god allow them to continually lead those in the pews astray? Funny god, likes people to go to church where some claim 'god says ..." this or that, and the others are encouraged to believe that crap. A powerful god that cares would set that straight, rather than just watch (if he or she does even that) from above.

"God's Word" is for the wiley to use to gain leverage over the unsuspecting.

According to Brigham, He's too busy making spirit babies to care about what his prophet's saying. (or was that Joseph?)
(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.

You sure he wasn't simply looking for money with a ready line to use on people when they replied they did? My husband on our recent trip from Memphis wore a T-shirt which said in large letters "extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence". He said he's never seen such nasty looks from people before. I didn't notice but he certainly was convinced it was the t-shirt.

He looked like he was in a hurry, not panhandling. But then, maybe that was part of his panhandling schtick. No, I am not sure he was.

I like your husband's shirt, however. I agree with it.

Then you obviously have no idea what I'm commenting on. But, please do spout on.
