I doubt it. I have been there and done that. What more can be said about Mormon history and the various first vision accounts? Overkill? The more important point is: that people would actually waste their lives owning such a site that will be dedicated to crippling a religious faith. One has to feel sorry for such people. And what a waste of life.

What more can be said that hasn't been said before? Overkill for sure. More to the point would be the releasing of emails of the church office building. But to rehash history is mundance and stupid.

Why me, we weren't talking about General Conference...

There is a point there too. However, the agenda of the critics of Mormonism are now engaged in overkill. Too much is too much. Also, one needs to ask just where all the hatred comes from and who is behind it. Now that would be an interesting discussion.

I thought the agenda of the critics was to tell the truth and see how that compares to the words put out by God's one true Church and His living Prophet on the earth today.

After all, that tactic seems to be working!
Perhaps God has decided the Church is corrupt and is putting his weight behind things like uncovering malpractice in the Church's geneological process or highlighting the racial bigotry of people who were meant to be His Apostles...

Or bringing light to fiscal irresponsibility?
(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.

It's the LDS church's fault that people feel compelled to do this. If the church doesn't tell the truth to the world, or even its own members, who will? It's up to the average man to do it. It's totally the church's fault. Perhaps this man would be doing something more constructive with his time if it wasn't for the church lying to its people about its historical foundations. Blame the church, not the people exposing the lies.

Hey, here's a novel concept, why doesn't the church just start telling the complete truth and then all the other pro-truth sites can shut down?

Joseph Smith's martyrdom for his right to deny the rights of free speech and freedom of the press, insures that this will not happen.

Perhaps -- but dozens of people leave the Church every day, and have had
no real exposure to this sort of historical information. They just leave because
they're fed up with what they perceive to be all sorts of other problems.

The MormonLeaks people appear to be aiming their product at the
"new-leavers" and those who are just about ready to leave Mormonism.

I think they want to provide a place on the web where something more
substantial than the typical RFM life-stories can be shared.

Coming up next -- the leaking of the 1846 Council of Fifty Minutes;
the secret correspondence of Apostle Richard R. Lyman; the hidden
Melvin Dumar tapes; the 1932 Manti Temple murder investigation;
and the secret City Creek Mall sub-contractors' kick-back lists...

... just kidding, all that's coming this week are photos of Seamus'
dog carrier and the "lost episode" from Plan 10 From Outer Space.
-- the discovery never seems to stop --
