Morley,

This is why we have a Prophet. To lead and guide us. I know of no better person on earth to sort these issues out than our Prophet.

Sorry to intrude, but I don't think another Arthur Patton story is going to help with this one. Please carry on.

Does this person get some LDS priesthood?

Only every other day.
It is better to be a warrior in a garden, than a gardener at war.

Some of us, on the other hand, actually prefer a religion that includes some type of correlation with reality.

Or we could go with a true doctrine like everyone can hold the priesthood and it has nothing to do with a person's sex.

Tobin,
No offense... But as you seem to.disagree with LDS inc on just about every point of doctrine (outside of the Book of Mormon and its teachings)... Have you considered declaring the church fallen apostates and starting your own? By your own admission you seem to meet the Joseph Smith criteria for starting a church.

I don't view the church of God that way. The church of God is those who truly follow God and that certainly isn't limited to just Mormons. There is no need to start that Church since it has always been on the earth. There have always been those that were willing to fight for the truth and believe it (that truth being that there is a God). And there are also always those on the other side that teach against that and against God and to do what men say instead. That is the dynamic that we face and the choice we all face - to either do what with right or do what is easy.

Yet how do you know when you think you have only had one expereince with God and you don't believe in the other spiritual expereinces as a way to find out God's will. Reality is that you are just going with what one mans says, which is you.

Birth defects are just part of life (Ether 12:27), so no, I don' think He screwed up.

So does the hermaphrodite get a little, but not the full priesthood, being partly male and partly female?

Funny, I thought it was the post-natal MDs that sorted out what gender to try to reconstruct the genitalia to be, and then provide hormone treatment to the growing child, as necessary. But the prophet gets involved in those decisions.

Only every other day.

So while age 12 and 13, the youngster only has to/gets to pass the sacrament every other Sunday?
