I think this is a positive step. I wonder if anyone will address this "Mormons building bridges" effort in Sacrament Meeting.
Never been a need. These types of things are all about fomenting a change in doctrine and policy which hasn't happened nor will it happen. In the meantime, the teaching has always been to love the sinner.
Question for Droopy, BC Space, etc. If the people in these pictures can be identified, should they be disciplined?
Yes they should. Romans 1:32
They should not, they will be.
I am prophesying...

As the doctrine and/or policy didn't ever change about - polygamy - blacks - relation to "great and abominable churches"
- Whenever a poet or preacher, chief or wizard spouts gibberish, the human race spends centuries deciphering the message. - Umberto Eco - To assert that the earth revolves around the sun is as erroneous as to claim that Jesus was not born of a virgin. - Cardinal Bellarmine at the trial of Galilei
"Within the Mormon church, it's very progressive to recognize gay people's right to walk around in public."
I liked
"Before we get all giddy, let's wait and see what they've written on their signs."
"We have taken up arms in defense of our liberty, our property, our wives, and our children; we are determined to preserve them, or die." - Captain Moroni - 'Address to the Inhabitants of Canada' 1775

So according to that scripture, instead of marching with the gays we should be killing them. If you really believed this scripture you would have shown up at the parade with a sniper rifle and picked off as many gays as possible.

What are they being disciplined for? Loving the sinner?

Yes. And for thinking outside the box before the Brethren could issue a press release.
(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.
Marriage between two persons is a civil right. The Christians and the Mormons need to shut the hell up and quit pushing their Goddamn religion on the rest of us. This is a free country founded upon freedom and civil liberties. So, let the Christians and the Mormons go back to their churches and preach to themselves. How dare they deny others their right of happiness.
The Goddamn Christians have no right telling men they can't marry! The Supreme Court is going to fix this problem real soon. The Mormons are going to be forced to accept the idea of gays marrying in every state of the union. And there won't be a damn thing they can do to stop it. Gay marriage is coming and will eventually be old news.
Is this Mormon Building Bridges movement an officially sanctioned programme of the Church or a group of Mormons working from the basis of their own personal feelings and opinions?
I'm not denigrating their action, which I see as exactly what Christ would be advocating. I'm highlighting how embarrassing it is for the Church leadership when members display far more Christ like attributes than they do.
The head honcho's were at the opening of a bank and at the opening of a shopping mall, but when it comes to fighting for people to be treated equally where are they?
“We look to not only the spiritual but also the temporal, and we believe that a person who is impoverished temporally cannot blossom spiritually.” Keith McMullin - Counsellor in Presiding Bishopric
"One, two, three...let's go shopping!" Thomas S Monson - Prophet, Seer, Revelator

According to your argument on Zee's thread, if the members participating in Mormon Building Bridges are tithe payers, are they homophobes?
I can be accused of a lot of things, i.e., antiMormon, Facsimile No. 3 basher, nasty ass person, etc., but nobody can rightfully accuse me of being a "homophobe". I love boys! Hell yeah!
