I suppose so, except that it is more the case that the system he has defended worked against him in this instance, and yet none of them can see that, so they make up other explanations.
There are some nuances in that which "ain't karma a bitch" doesn't quite capture.
But you make a good point. It is wordy.
Not wordy, at all. You drew out those nuances very succinctly. I may have enjoyed it more with 5 more words added at the end, actually. Maybe I just wanted to put the icing on your cake.

These people are going completely nuts now, totally going after Bradford with guns hot, pretending they know all the details just because they've heard Hamblin's side of things.
The fact that Bradford isn't airing out his version of the story on a meaningless message board isn't evidence that he is in the wrong, which is what Hamblin is trying to imply. It is clear evidence to me that he is a professional who doesn't think this is anyone's business. Why is Hamblin acting like this online? He looks like a completely unhinged moron. And why are these people eating it all up uncritically when they've always told me that you shouldn't make conclusions unless "all facts are known." So far they have only heard one side of the story, and that is all they need before they start attacking Bradford and why me is coming close to attacking General Authorities. The only thing that could make the irony here ever more richer, is if the Church excommunicated all these idiots for apostasy. If they tried pulling this crap twenty years ago, I'm sure they'd be on that list.
Hamblin also claims that apostates have been trying to silence Dan Peterson and that we do so because of ad hominem. WTF?
I asked for examples and I was immediately banned, of course. I also provided some examples of FARMS hit pieces, at William Schryver's request, and the post was deleted. Of course.
Isn't it wonderful for William to be able to throw down challenges he knows no one will ever be permitted to accept? He pulled this crap last year when he challenged anyone to refute his cipher theory. He had no idea I was on the forum at the time, and so I refuted it. He then had a conniption fit and became so unhinged the mods had to ban him from the forum.
Kevin, it appears treehugger has shown that WS claim is BS. From another thread treehugger showed that WS acknowledges use of ad hominem and antagonistic rhetoric - WS own words.
Also I believe the FAIRISEES released a recent posting wherein they claim that any alledge ad hominem is not ad hominem arguementum fallacy, therefore it is ok.
If denial of personal attacks made someone a son of perdition, we would know asuredly who a handful of SOP are.
So, thanks to the GA-ordered pulling of the Dehlin smear piece, will the OMIDs finally agree with the critics and admit that the church does indeed try to hide stuff from the members?
"Finally, for your rather strange idea that miracles are somehow linked to the amount of gay sexual gratification that is taking place would require that primitive Christianity was launched by gay sex, would it not?"

The Church hide things from its memebers?!? Say it isn't so.

Undoubtedly no.

Yes, but the OMIDs have lost their teeth. Now, if the Deseret News will publish their articles that show what egregious fools they are, we might just have a chance.

What Shades talks about only comes through personal realization.
