I had a brief post on this review in the wake of the initial breaking of the news on the Dehlin hit piece. If you are at all interested in my reading of Smith on Compton, have a look.

Standard stuff here.
Preach it, Droopy! Can you believe that some people on this board go around lobbing Molotov cocktails at unseen targets?

The General Authority who gave the cancellation order read portions of it beforehand.
Anyone who says otherwise is either lying or misinformed.
The above is true. Also, the reason why DCP was dismissed by email is because he skipped out on a scheduled meeting with Bradford and wouldn't return phone calls before his vacation.
Of course, DCP will probably accuse me of lying when 'someone tells him about this post from an apostate board that he never reads.'
You're absolutely vile and obnoxious paternalistic air of intellectual superiority towards anyone who takes issue with your clear misapprehension of core LDS doctrine must give one pause. - Droopy

Wait a second, haven't Dan and Bill been preaching relentlessly that NO ONE has read the hit piece, including the GA and Bradford?

The following, I believe, addresses your question.

Wow. DCP has been extremely dishonest about this event.
We hate to seem like we don’t trust every nut with a story, but there’s evidence we can point to, and dance while shouting taunting phrases.

If Bradford did in fact read the entire Dehlin article, and DCP did skip out on a meeting with his boss and wasn't returning his boss' calls, then it is no surprise that he got removed from his position as editor. It would also be an astonishing collection of lies and half-truths that he has perpetrated to make Bradford look bad.

Anyone have a valid account at MAD to post this new information?
I'm sure it will drive them up the walls, at least until the mods remove it.
I was always skeptical of Hamblin and Peterson's claim that NO ONE had read the piece. It made no sense to me. Bradford was clearly in a position to read it if he wanted to.

MsJack, I hope you're keeping up with this stuff. A new undated timeline of how things transpired would be great about now.

This is what I heard as well.
Rather problematic for the whole "cowardly firing by e-mail" narrative.
