Maybe the problem with atheists is they have no home? Maybe they are still in the throws of a cold war?
There are those who think that life is nothing left to chance, A host of holy horrors to direct our aimless dance.
A planet of playthings, We dance on the strings Of powers we cannot perceive. "The stars aren't aligned Or the gods are malign"- Blame is better to give than receive.
You can choose a ready guide in some celestial voice. If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice. You can choose from phantom fears and kindness that can kill; I will choose a path that's clear- I will choose Free Will.
There are those who think that they were dealt a losing hand, The cards were stacked against them- they weren't born in lotus-land.
All preordained- A prisoner in chains- A victim of venomous fate. Kicked in the face, You can't pray for a place In heaven's unearthly estate.
You can choose a ready guide in some celestial voice. If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice. You can choose from phantom fears and kindness that can kill; I will choose a path that's clear- I will choose Free Will.
Each of us- A cell of awareness- Imperfect and incomplete. Genetic blends With uncertain ends On a fortune hunt that's far too fleet.

A very clever analogy. Atheists are in the same boat as true believers of any religion. Neither know. For me, it's best to admit that I don't know. I'm happy with not knowing. I'd rather admit ignorance than pretend.
This, or any other post that I have made or will make in the future, is strictly my own opinion and consequently of little or no value.

Yep. I've settled for "I'll deal with it when and if I'm faced by it". 2004 Rioja by the way....

I think it is much richer to make decisions on information (and then act upon informed decisions) than the absence of it. For me, theism was 1950s East Berlin, and taking an evidence-based approach is Milan.
for what it's worth, I am an atheist that keeps getting bothered by angels and gods.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "no home", but am going to guess. Religion, in my opinion, is so pervasive due to the fact that it fills a real need of human beings: to belong. Atheism does not have an organization that offers the same comfort.
We hate to seem like we don’t trust every nut with a story, but there’s evidence we can point to, and dance while shouting taunting phrases.

If you believe in the latter, then you can't be the former.
