A friend came back from California to the Utah vs. UCLA football game last fall, and couldn't wait to take his boyfriend to Crown Burger. The Pie Pizzeria I could understand, but a burger joint?

The main thing about Crown Burger is that they cook over charcoal.

Ah, everyone has that one. Utah tops the list because Mormons are too honest to get it for free (or maybe they haven't figured out how yet).

Well, I have to admit I've never been there. I don't eat ground beef.

The onion rings are good too.

It's the strangest thing. Seems like it would be a cultural wasteland, but they got some damn fine eatin'.

Yep, I'll attest to that. I travel all over the place and live on the East Coast, but I always look forward to the restaurants when I go back: The Red Iguana, The Bombay House, Tucano's, Tony Caputo's, etc.
Hey listen don't you let 'em get your mind...

How odd. Utah has never entered my orbit as a destination for good restaurants or a source of important regional cuisine.

How do you know Maddox?
