I suspect that the owners, being Southern Baptist, don't consider LDS Christians. Chicken makes strange bedfellows.

That's funny. My spouse and I have vowed never to purchase another Chick-fil-A product again. Man, I really liked their fries, too. Oh, well. :)

I'm too lazy to Google it, but if anyone wants to post any subsidiaries or associated businesses with Chick-fil-A that would help us to know who to avoid with our dollars.

This is beyond ridiculous. As far as I know, Chik-Fil-A as a company is completely non-political. I've got news for you, I guarantee there are plenty of people working for Chik-Fil-A who support gay marriage 100%. When you boycott Chik-Fil-A, you will be hurting both groups. If you want to support or boycott a corporation for the practices of the corporation, have at it. But to support or boycott a corporation for the personal opinions of employees is simply asinine.
Put it another way, suppose the Chik-Fil-A board of directors decides that Chik-Fil-A will be the most pro gay marriage company in history. Suppose every super sized meal now comes with a free gay marriage license and ceremony performed by the on staff manager. They remove the play zones and erect shrines to gay marriage. Guess what? There will still be people working for Chik-Fil-A who are against gay marriage. It would be illegal to hire or fire people working for a public corporation based solely on their political views, so how in the hell does a corporation arrange for any of its employees to hold any particular political view?
Yes, Scotty-dog is an idiot for supporting Chik-Fil-A based solely on the political position of an employee which the corporation by law cannot control. It's also as stupid to boycott it based on the same reason. If you don't like the food, stay home. Otherwise, enjoy the chicken, because there are gay-marriage supporters working for Chik-Fil-A who are counting on that Chik-Fil-A paycheck.
I decided long ago to never eat there because of their stupid name. I've still never ever seen one of their "restaurants," so it's sort of a moot point.

Yeah, it sucks that people use a corporate image to make a political point. Maybe the owner of Chik-Fil-A shouldn't have done that. Oh well!

Um ... people who depend on paychecks also work for other restaurants, whose owners have not declared opposition to gay marriage.
If you still go out to eat, the total benefit to the human race is unchanged by boycotting a particular chain.
Just saying.
