Teenage boys, not to mention young women, who also engage in the practice, masturbate as part of their normal sexual-biological development. There is almost no scriptural support for a prohibition on masturbation, and, unlike the Word of Wisdom, which has a sensible prohibition on tobacco, an anti-masturbation commandment has no real health benefit. In fact, for adult males, not masturbating might increase the risk of prostate cancer.
I get commandments against viewing pornography. What I don't understand is the needless and damaging shaming that is inflicted on young people who, when they masturbate, are doing exactly what evolution or God arranged for the human body to do.
It is absurd to the point of being criminal, in my view.
You know, those old hypocrite Jews were a jangled tight wad of dingleberrys too. Once spiritual leadership goes down that path to Zero Tolerance of human weakness to buttress their own feigned righteousness in authoritarian postures the angels have an abundance of streaming comedy.
They read off the faces of these strained pathetics the frustration they MUST calmly exude in every attempt to edify when all they can think of day and night is that they never once relieved themselves of sexual tension. "DAMN, HOW RIGHTEOUS I AM" And that is the gospel they want others to share. They are compelled to comb through all the youth to find their own kind.
"I found one, brethren, I tell you that I found another one! says bishop B. Is he lying to you B? doubts leader Q.
No! No! for I have pried and I am certain. exults B."Interesting, I will have to add this plank to those which proceeded in the supplanting of the gospel as to what counts for righteousness.
1. 1853-55 Sustain your file leader.
2. Whenever Snow went to Dixie....Pay a full tithe.
3. Seriously, from the time of the internet.....See no evil, speak no evil, touch no evil.
This is the current standard of righteousness. Pathetic I tell ya. Just plain stupid. Where is the grace in it?
