It amazes me that I used to think the Book of Mormon was historical.

There actually are respectable parallels between Hindu and Maya culture. This has led serious scholars like Michael Coe to be open to the possibility of some contact between the two.
We hate to seem like we don’t trust every nut with a story, but there’s evidence we can point to, and dance while shouting taunting phrases.
