Judging from Blair's experience of writing for the FARMS Review, I'm guessing they have a very rigorous process for ensuring that reviews meet the organization's minimum standard of sarcastic hostility.

Their anger is directly proportionate to their level of cog dis.

Whoa! The truth comes out at last, eh? Can you elaborate on this, CK?

At about 6:00 pm on Thursday evening, I started and nearly pinched myself.I sat ina chair, in a circle/clump with several others, participating and being respectfully heard in a conversation that ranged over a wide variety of topics that fascinate me. The others? Oh, just a few titans: Dan Peterson, Matt Roper, Lou Midgley,Brant Gardner,Craig Foster,Michael Ash, etc. Good. Heavens. Dear ApologeticGeek Paradise, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

I joined FAIR about a year and a half ago, basically by accident, and have been waiting ever since for them to notice that I don't belong in the pantheon.
I'm a better actor than I thought,as they saw fit to bestow honor on me. I was flattered and flustered utterly, but even more relieved that they broke tradition to bestow two awards, the other on Steve Densley, who deserves it on an epic and super-human scale.

Much of life is puzzlingandunpleasantly agley from our best laid plans, but I've scored an undeniablebullseye here. My temperament, interests, needs, andtalents are nearly perfectly fulfilled in this little apologetics hobby of mine.I'm grateful every day.

I love my life. There are a lot of fascinating opportunities ahead--patent law, children, finishing my book and hopefully publication, and I'm going to start being a volunteer contributor to FAIR, a Mormon apologetics group. I've got a lot more in me, and I'm going to charge after it. Starting--now!

So, in summary:

A person with a doctorate in theology and a couple of decades plus of experience as a minister is not qualified to opine on the merits of Mormonism.

But an adolescent boy barely out of high school is qualified to do so.

I wasn't aware that this required so much effort. It seems, after all, that they come by it so naturally.

I'm not really sure why you guys are surprised, or acting shocked by the Mormon Interpreter's tone. The folks who formed Mormon Interpreter did it because they were tired of being criticized for tone when they were removed from MI(a.k.a. FARMS).

They are running Mormon Interprer precisely according to their vision. Hey, they found themselves a little corner of the Internet just like the rest of us have.

by the way, Reverend Jackson responded to the review....

Someone should email him and invite him to our forum, where a man who worked hard for his degree can get some respect.

Do you have a link to his response? I would be interested in reading it.
