This suggests to me that there will be one post that will be later deleted after the vodka wears off.
Whatever appears to be against the Book of Mormon is going to be overturned at some time in the future. So we can be pretty open minded.-charity 3/7/07
MASH quotes I peeked in the back [of the Bible] Frank, the Devil did it. I avoid church religiously. This isn't one of my sermons, I expect you to listen.
So, Droopy says, "I wrote a blog post, but I'm not going to tell you where it is, and if you manage to find it, I'm not going to allow you to respond if I don't like what you say."
I am waiting for the punchline.

at greg prince's home 2 weeks ago joanna spoke to 100 people (mostly liberal NOM's) mostly about her book but did identify herself as feminist Mormon. i asked the first question:
"Joanna if you could sit with fp or the twelve at church hqs what would you ask them or say to them"
joanna's answer after a slight pause " i have nothing to say to them ; they have lots of things to keep them busy and to worry about" -very surprising answer from a Mormon feminist.
second part of my question "what do you have to say to the young women adulst say 18- 33 years old if you could sit and talk with them"
her answer : "get out of the Mormon culture you are in and go someplace like africa(laughing) or the hinterlands and live the gospel without being under the "control" of the priesthood culture. in effect get out out utah and go to a place where there are not a lot of Mormons and live the gospel as you believe the Spirit is leading you- also a surprising answer.

I've struggled to understand Johanna Brooks. I even read her book and I still don't understand her. How can someone like her really have nothing to say to the first presidency and the twelve.
Couldn't find anything through Google searches narrowed to blogs, with search results set to most recent, using lots of combinations of terms like "Joanna Brooks", "liberal", "leftist", "feminist", etc, etc. C'mon droopy, don't leave us hanging like this.

Depth is an imprecise term whose meaning depends a lot on the context and the subjective judgment of the speaker. You find yourself at the bottom of 22 feet of tar and it'll feel pretty damn deep to you. I apologize for the viscosity of my comment.
So far we have no link, so we cannot see just what depths the Droopster has plumbed yet, though I have a feeling this is going to end up being an exercise in bizarre internet stalking, or at the very least an unhealthy obsession.
Mormonism ceased being a compelling topic for me when I finally came to terms with its transformation from a personality cult into a combination of a real estate company, a SuperPac, and Westboro Baptist Church. - Kishkumen
