There are no new/young mopologists to come to the rescue so they have to resort to recycling the old relics. He kind of reminds me of Keith Richards.
PS Sorry Keith.

We all know why he was let go.....because of the bitch propagandist and because bradford is wolf in sheeps clothing whose strings are pulled by rabid foaming at the mouth antimormons.
This is all so sad to me. It's now official, the MI is in its final death throes.
Even with all the internet traffic that the good Dr. Scratch is sending over due to his excellent reviews, I fear the MI will not make it past next year.
The MI's articles just plain suck (for lack of a better word). They are really scraping the bottom of the barrel in terms of quality. Don't be surprised to see contributions from Will Schryver, Michael Ash and Droopy in the next edition.

Actually, David Bokyvoy is young and new. Dan has even had him write an article in the "Mormon Interpreter". I was actually glad to see Dan utilizing him since BYU chose to pass him over for a Professor spot. Actually, considering Bradford's ill fated move, I am surprised that David WAS passed over. I would have thought he would have been an excellent fit for what BYU's MI is trying to promote.
It is also interesting to note that Dan was very disappointed when David was passed over. So the fact that there is a division between the new and old Mopologetics might be a little far fetched to a degree?

Where did Daniel Peterson register his disappointment? Did he, for instance, do it on his blog? Or anywhere else that is publicly accessible? I ask that question out of neutral curiosity, since I have no horse in this race.
I mean, DCP's opinion on this matter is evidently not private in any way, since otherwise Liz would not be disclosing what Pahoran would no doubt call "in real life information" about DCP's views on this board.
Zadok: I did not have a faith crisis. I discovered that the Church was having a truth crisis. Maksutov: That's the problem with this supernatural stuff, it doesn't really solve anything. It's a placeholder for ignorance.

I don't know that Dan has blatantly stated anywhere on a public forum that he was disappointed, but in casual conversation, Dan told me that he was. I think that if Dan thought it would have done David some good to say something publicly, he would have done so. My feeling is that his asking David to write the first article of his new Internet venture was a way of public acknowledgement that he was impressed with David's opinion and overall work.

Well, now it has been blatantly stated here.
Remember: you read it first on Mormon Discussions. All the news on Mopologetics that's fit to print. (As well as some that isn't, but then that keeps Pahoran coming here to entertain us, so who's complaining?)

And I am sure that DCP has no problem with this. I certainly wouldn't have mentioned it if I did.
Question to Chap...Don't you think it is fairly logical to assume that DCP finds David a good fit into modern Mormon apologia if he is inviting him to write in his current "Mormon Interpreter"magazine?
This talk of a division between the "new and old guard" is a little confusing when you consider the meshing I just described, is it not?
