Mormonism has strict rules on interpretation of gender. They have made violation of the rules an excommunicable offense.

This is from someone who knows her.

She was my Bishop for 7 years and my Stake President for 8 years. She counselled me personally several times for various things in my life. Always with inspiration, honesty and a Christ like love and guidance. I don't pretend to understand what she is going through or how these changes work. I can't wrap my mind around it at all. I just know what sort of person he was before and she still is now.

We still have our next door neighbor over for lunches, dinners, fireworks and backyard bbqs. They are GREAT people. In my opinion the changes just don't affect her, they affect the entire family and others. Including myself. But only negatively if we let it.

She is STILL a talented former LDS Temple Architect. Nothing can change that.

So. I just got back from a pretty epic walk. Looked at the river. Looked birds. Looked at homeless people. Neat.

I get back, I'm enjoying a nice cold Diet Cherry Pepsi and I decide to browse Reddit because that's what I do. Welp. I inadvertently open a thread NOT tagged NSFW and there's a picture of a woman getting double penetrated by two giant dongs.

I close that out because I'm pretty much dead inside at this point and re-read this thread. Here's a guy who simply wants to be a woman or what the “F” ever he's comfortable being. Seems like a really nice person. Designed temples. Neat. Takes a lot to get to that place in life. He was no slouch, obviously. Pretty much a model citizen.

And it makes me think that Polygamy Porter probably looks at lots of women getting double-donged and is all sorts of cool with that. Dude who looks like lady? Well FORGET THAT. THAT IS UNNATURAL. HARUMPH.

I get that evolutionarily we're designed to seek conformity and whatnot... But, man. The sciences have really demonstrated that we are, in fact, on a spectrum of not only gender heavily influenced by genetic makeup and hormonal production, all of which is perfectly natural but also sexuality. It's natural. It's as natural as the Sun rising in the east and setting in the west.

As long as people are decent human beings, meaning they basically don't harm others (use common sense on that one) then we should chill the “F” out over this issue and try to understand it so we're not a hostile environment for the LGTBQRSTULV+ types.
