I was so happy to be a part of dropping a hand grenade down Elder Oaks’s shorts.
Why do you think elder Oaks heard your relatively unknown podcast?

If you didn’t get a chance to watch it last night, I urge you to do so. It’s a master class of holding senior leadership to their own rules, and by doing so demonstrating just how absurd they and their rules are.

In particular, Dallin Oaks, that smarmy weasel, is totally exposed as the fraud and deceptive schmuck he is. Well done, Nemo. May a temple recommend manifest in the near future, brother.

It was an excellent episode. Nemo is impressive in his way of doggedly and methodically following through with his confrontation with Church leaders.

We all owe Nemo a debt of gratitude for showing, yet again, what not to expect from LDS leaders.

I’ll bet he has satellites pointed directly at your studio, listening to your every move. Of course, that kind of technology would have had to be developed not by humans, but by secret Area 51 technology received from alien beings.

Right?

I gave a few more minutes to listen this morning to this. I'm still feeling confused. Why is he intent on saying God does not lie when the evidence of that is far more clear than the evidence for the modern prophets whom he condemns? (ok maybe not more clear, but just as clear). I know this is not something we want to talk about because we want to jump on board any complaint against the Church and try to prove it a fraud and all of that. I agree. The Church is nothing more than another organization run by people who feel the need to protect that organization. I doubt there are many orgs out there where some leader or spokesman doesn't lie at some point, and lie for the same reasons Nemo says the Church lies for. So if there is no God, then what has happened with church leader's lying is to be expected--people lie to protect their tribe or organization. But, if there is a God and he is the god of Abraham, the God of Christianity (you know, that one), then we too ought to expect the leaders to lie particularly to lie when trying to protect God, his truth, his church, and all of that.

Believing in God when it comes to being rational seems to always be a tails I lose and heads I lose move. But in an irrational way, its the opposite--believers win with heads or tails. Nemo seems intent on getting Oaks to admit God wouldn't lie, but Oaks and his buddies do lie therefore they should not lead God's Church. But that's quite an assumption considering the history of God's supposed messages to humanity. It stands against reason, that is if we assume God--and believing in God stands against reason as well.

This is a weird problem I think we have when discussing these things. We all lie and have lied. If I or another average Joe was tasked with leading an organization, likely, at some point, I'd lie about something in order to protect the organization. That simply comes with the territory, it seems. And if that organization exists on the basis of it's leaders preaching and speaking and answering questions under the guise of helpign others, then the likelihood of lying only goes up, probably exponentially. As it is I only assume Oaks really thinks he's God's chosen leader. As such, if he's lied, he actually think God has endorsed him anyway. If so, then he assumes God's happy with lying to protect himself, his brothers and the organization. The whole point of God is to lie to us, it seems. He could easily inform us, truly lead us...show us the way...and all of that. But instead, he prefer to send strong delusions upon us, apparently, so we remain in our wickedness, so he can unleash his violent fury. Somehow the story of God does not at all engender a spirit of honesty. Why should we ever make the assumption? Simply to attempt to embarrass and humiliate each other?
