I'm not saying that you are wrong in agreeing with what Prof P says is the name the board deserves, but I wonder if you could point us to some actual objective evidence that the board is obsessed with him. I haven't, for example, counted how many of the 50 most recent threads are substantially about him, but perhaps you have, having (before counting, of course) determined a number which a disinterested person would consider to indicate obsession.

I think it is most unfortunate that DCP attracts so much attention around here. I try to avoid threads about him, and I advocate against treating him unfairly or insultingly. I hope he and his family have a safe and joyous holiday season.

Yes, and undeservedly too. He posts his own thoughts and opinions on his own blog, and he runs a middle-brow publication about Mormon topics he’s passionate about.

Some mention, yes. But emperor Tojo was a major player in the war—one of the main characters, in fact. Even so, there are so many interesting things to discuss about World War II other than Tojo.

Dan is just some guy who taught Arabic at BYU and enjoys writing about Mormonism. I truly do not understand the obsession with him; but, as they say, I will defend this boards‘ right to have such an obsession as long as it remains harmless.
